Cosy and chill beats, could definitely think of some chill rap on top of this

Pretty vibrant and nice chord structure, really like the change at 2:39, very nostalgic and trippy

You got lots of variance going, I like what I'm hearing! Keep it up! :D

mashing chords doing a loop-de-loop, I like it. o/

You have a lovely voice, please don't stop preaching it, hhhh
I would be to increase the trebles/highs in the voice a slight tad to make the S's/T's, etc. a bit more clear.

I also suggest that you increase the volume on the kick a notch, it's almost not noticable. I'd suggest looking up "Kick sidechaining", it helps on such an occation. :)

Lovely work, keep it up!

MyMonkeyMyCircus responds:

thanks buddy. appreciate the response. i can do so to the voice; i'm interested to hear about the S and Ts. cool that you heard that, i attacked them quite harshly and i wasn't sure if it was too much.

even your music 7 years ago is this great, that's amazing, well done!

This is really marvelous, you definitely know your timings and chord choices, well done!

TheoryGuy responds:

Thank you so much!

Some proper shredding here, boi!

mattc-guitar responds:

Thank you sir!

not a fan of the 4 pop chord selection at the start, you do save it a notch when the hypersaw kicks in, at the first drop at 0:44, it has some interesting variance, I really like the lead here.

Overall, you did good on the lead going solo, the drums are clear, and the mastering is decent, nice work. :)

I like the noise at 0:34, wish it was a bit more gritty, but I like it.
2:02: I like the chord pattern, I would've loved to hear some variating synth uses here to give a bit of variance.
2:19: I'd suggest lifting the highs/trebles on the vocoded vocals to make them more clear, I sadly can't make out what you're singing. It's hard with vocoders, but you learn with trial and error. o/

Almost-Ichabod responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I'm still learning how to use the vocoder properly, the carrier signal is especially frustrating to figure out, but I'll do that with the vocoder and possibly redo the vocals and reupload it.

As for varying chord stuff, I simply like repetitive stuff and that's my only excuse for why so many of my songs don't use variety in the chords.
